How 140 Lighting Cues and Triggers Transform Dubai’s Viya Fit Gym
When Central Technology System needed to program 5-6 different lighting shows per room at Viya Fit Mina Seyahi gym, each responding to different training activities, music, and LED screen content, the lighting control system needed a brain behind it.
ENTTEC’s S-PLAY, STORM10, and ELM + EMU provided that solution: creating and managing 140 lighting cues and 140 triggers across the 4,000-square-meter facility’s 7 control zones.
The Challenge
When Central Technology System (CTS), Dubai approached this project for Viya Fit Mina Seyahi, a 4,000-square-meter fitness facility featuring specialized studios for Punch, Strong, and Ride, Padel courts, and wellness spaces, they had the infrastructure in place but faced a programming challenge.
The facility already had 25 spaces organized into 7 control zones with touchpad controllers installed. What they needed was the ability to create distinct lighting experiences for different activities in each room:
- 5-6 different lighting shows per room tailored to specific training scenarios
- Music-reactive lighting that responds to beat and tempo in real-time
- Screen synchronization where LED displays influence ambient lighting
- Simple trainer operation through programmable touchpad buttons
- 140 individual lighting scenes (cues) and 140 triggers to activate them
Their existing control hardware couldn’t create, store, or manage this level of programming sophistication.

The ENTTEC Solution
Over a 3-month installation completed in October 2025, CTS programmed 140 lighting cues (scenes and effects) and 140 triggers (buttons that activate them) across 7 zones and 25 spaces using ENTTEC’s control system.
S-PLAY SP1-1 | The Programming Powerhouse
Stores all 140 lighting cues and manages the 140 triggers that activate them. The S-PLAY creates the lighting content, whether static scenes, dynamic recordings, or music-reactive effects, then responds instantly when triggered by touchpad buttons, music input, or screen sync signals. CTS used the S-PLAY’s web interface to build, test, and refine each lighting show during installation.
STORM10 | Reliable Signal Distribution
Provides Ethernet-to-DMX conversion throughout the facility. With signal distribution across 7 control areas and 25 spaces, the STORM10 handles transmission without latency, which matters when lighting needs to respond instantly to music or user input.
ELM + EMU | Advanced Synchronization
Handles pixel mapping and complex synchronization tasks. When music-reactive effects need to ripple across multiple fixtures in precise timing, or when LED screen content needs to influence ambient lighting, ELM + EMU make it work.

The User Experience
Each room has a dedicated touchpad control panel with programmable buttons that trigger specific lighting scenes for that space only. Trainers can shift from warm-up lighting to high-intensity sequences with a single button press. The buttons (triggers) activate the pre-programmed lighting shows (cues) stored in the S-PLAY. No technical knowledge required.
“We just wanted to say thank you so much to ENTTEC for giving us such great flexibility with the lighting,” says the Viya Fit team.
“We can use color codes to separate each zone, to identify what zones are busy and which we’re using in a group, whether it’s a hot zone for people to really get engaged with or just a normal training zone.”
