DINTEC Further Exploration

Last month we introduced you to DIN-TEC. Now we have a couple of other modules that we are prepared to talk about because they'll be coming out very soon.

The DIN-TEC Range

  • DINRELAY4: a 4-way relay for low power signal switching applications.
  • DIN-LED4-350X: a constant current 350mA LED driver controlled by DMX/RDM
  • DIN-LED4-700X: as above, but 700mA
  • DIN-LED4-1000X: as above, but 1000mA
  • DIN-STREAMER: this is a simplified DIN-TEC version of our very popular DMX Streamer.

A few notes about these item are in order:

The relay is not meant for line voltage with working loads. It's better for an LED, or just to switch on and off low power circuits that tell other electronics what to do.

The LED Drivers are configured with starting address by RDM, like the Constant Voltage one we've already begun selling. These also have 4 outputs so you could mix RGB and another color.

The DIN Streamer will store and play back DMX streams, but have no calendaring, onboard menus, or LCD readout. Also you'll need to trigger it with a DIN-NET action, because there's no built-in Serial port. (Of course there can be a DIN-RS232 on your network to take the Serial commands.)

We have included here are a couple of diagrams of applications that have been designed around real world situations where DIN TEC can be a very powerful and flexible adjunct to a lighting system. These aren't case studies as such, yet, because the projects are in early stages. Their inclusion is more in the spirit of "look what you can do with these" than a documenting of past successes.
