I don't pretend to think you care about the fact that I got a dog, unless you're a dog lover and you've met me in person, and then just maybe it might be worthy of a brief acknowledgement. I had a lighting designer friend in New York whose Dalmatian was named Gobo, but my parents named this puppy Shadow, before he came to live with my wife and me. Close enough.
He was a rescue dog from an animal hospital, not unlike what is expected to become the First Pet early next year in Washington DC. I think about things like that because as I write this, I am in McCain territory, attending the Arizona Thespian Conference, where Enttec is displaying all our wares for various high school drama students to come and learn and play. So that's the end of this month's crazy journey.
It started at LDI in Las Vegas . Between the Projection Master Class we helped to sponsor, the fun-filled days of walking the floor and seeing who we could spot wearing our tee-shirts, and the session about RDM which featured Enttec personnel on the panel, it was a busy week there.

Project: Westgate City Center
This month we paid a visit to Eric Howell, who told me about his assignment to retrofit the grand water feature in front of the entrance to Phoenix' hockey team's home arena, They wanted to rip out the "head end" control equipment that was driving the show, and replace it with Enttec's E-Streamer , plus a copy of LightFactory to handle the programming chores.

LDI: RDM Showcase
The RDM ESTA-sponsored Interoperability Pavilion gave people a laboratory to try all new products out with each other.
What did we learn? Let's just say " We came , We saw , and We Controlled " the RDM Responders using our RDM Controller Software.

Then we hit the East Coast running and made a trip to visit some of our dealers there, stopping in nearly every major metropolitan area
from North Carolina to Massachusetts. We don't even have room to write about that trip, but it was fun, and
we got to tour the production areas of a couple of our friends and strategic partners.
That's my introduction to the fact that we're adding another installment to the series about Enttec's new headquarters and how our
operations have improved with them.
After the East Coast, and a brief amount of time to stick around near home (during which the dog was added to my family)
I headed back out West, to Phoenix. The first two days of this trip was to visit
Westgate City Center across from where the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team plays. There a water feature that pushes DMX to new heights (or it the other way around?) opened my eyes to some great examples of show control, system integration, clever programming on LightFactory, and so much more. Not long ago I was hearing about hockey moms every other day, so it was nice for a change to hang around Phoenix in a courtyard that would also play host to hockey dads, kids, players and coaches.

LDI: Convergence on a Budget
One of the highlights for Enttec at the 2008 LDI show was the Projection Master Class which we co-sponsored. This 2½ day workshop was a remarkable opportunity for us to wave the Enttec flag and to communicate about our products
